Samuel P Taylor Campout: March 18-21, 2010
What a beautiful State Park. From the moment we arrived, I felt relaxed. It was wonderful to have so many Old Volks members in attendance. We took over 13 camp sites. There were a total of 26 Volkswagens present; 21 split window buses, 1 bay window, 1 squareback, 1 bug, 1 golf, 1 routan, 6 dogs, 8 kids, and 38 adults. What a turnout. We enjoyed hiking, biking, a scenic drive planned by Brian, trips to the cool town of Fairfax, some went surfing in Bolinas, while others enjoyed the peace and quiet of the camp ground. Of course there was a bit of engine tinkering going on, as well as some home made wine tasting. By all accounts, it was a success! Hope to see you at the next campout.
